I was out of town on July 17th, but we lined up an excellent guest host for you. James Leuenberger, a candidate for Oregon Attorney General and former assistant AG in Idaho. I will be back this week with a special episode about the collapse of our ecnomic system and what you can possibly do to protect yourself.

After many technical complications, our inaugural episode of What Does It Really Mean is now online!

property rights, your children, your body

May 22nd, 2008 by dave trevfont No Comments

Texas CPS owns FLDS children
Safety deposit box contents are not yours
Your house will be stolen from you, just as in the useless War on Drugs

How stupid do you have to be to not understand that you own nothing, not your house (any reason will be listed to seize all assets in some baseless War on ____), not your children, not even your body. YOU HAVE NO PROPERTY RIGHTS, YOU HAVE NO DUE PROCESS.

The Texas CPS claims it is now the legal parents of the 400+ children KIDNAPPED from the FLDS ranch in Texas (do not use the media’s propaganda term “compound”, it is meant to portray the FLDS members as evil). The Texas CPS claims it will force immunization on the children. Do you understand that? Many families were torn apart by government thugs, with heavy weaponry ready to tear them all to shreds, all for what? Because of a false phone call and unsubstantiated charges. What happened to due process? What happened until innocent until proven guilty? Who in the hell do these CPS officials think they are to call themselves the legal parents of children that have parents that were caring for them? How EVIL does CPS have to become before people say ENOUGH? And they want to FORCE things into their bodies, which some refuse due to scientific proof that shows that vaccinations may not be a healthy thing to put into your body? KIDNAPPING and VIOLATION of their bodies, which is the most basic of all property. The State thinks they own their bodies!

Jesus was decried as the “friend of prostitutes and tax collectors” – so we know that the liberal use of false associations started long before the drug war or “war on terror”. Sophistry was a sporting event in ancient Greece: the abuse of logic to draw ridiculous conclusions. I will give a perfect example of how this works. Timothy McVeigh is a white male. He murdered over 250 innocent people in an act of terrorism. Two thirds of white males are moderate to severely addicted to coffee. Therefore, drinking coffee can lead to extreme violence – especially among white males. For that reason we should ban coffee and jail anyone who sells or provides that evil beverage to others.

What’s so grand about false associations is that there is no need for evidence. Timothy McVeigh does not need to be a coffee drinker – much less a severe addict. There is no need to study the effects of coffee on behaviors. There is no need to establish standards for banning foods or beverages. False associations take care of all of that. When someone in authority makes the claim – it becomes fact.

There are no standards or tests for drug prohibition. Bin Laden couldn’t be convicted of 911; why bother finding him. There is no evidence that the “Patriot” Act helps prevent future acts of violence. If “everyone” [in authority] agrees then it must be true. Those who disagree are marginalized: they don’t count. It goes without saying – literally. So when do we ban coffee?

Of course, there are way too many coffee drinkers for this to happen. As in Nazi Germany, it simply becomes a matter of isolation of minorities. Eventually, nearly everyone is vulnerable to government supervision and micromanagement of lives and personal choices. In ancient Greece, these sophists were ridiculed by many in power. Todays sophists are news editors and powerful elected officials. Occasionally they will disagree and undermine rival sophistries. However, certain false associations are given rare scrutiny - and even then those scrutinies are given little attention. Why worry the citizen taxpayers’ “pretty little heads” over endless scrutiny and questioning of their leaders’ judgments?

US Supreme Court deals a fatal blow to the 4th Amendment. They unanimously ruled that evidence seized during arrests that are illegal under state law (but legal under the Constitution) can still be used against a suspect at trial.

It’s all bogus when you consider that the Bill of Rights is an affirmation of your NATURAL rights. It doesn’t grant them to you and state that government should respect these rights. If it were to grant them to you, then that means you have no rights, only privileges, granted to you by The Government ™ and these can be suspended and/or revoked at any time for any reason by anyone with proper authority.

This ruling winks at police that they can illegally arrest anyone at any time, search them in the hopes of finding something illegal, and then bringing charges against you for what they find. This is called a POLICE STATE, and the people that will be perpetrating these acts (you’ll hear about it more and more now that they have our mullahs deciding in their favor) are evil and should be dealt with.

Another article in the NY Times highlights the increasing issues with our prison populations. Apparently we lead the industrialized world in producing one valueless commodity: prisoners.

The sad part about this entire commentary is that the author misses the point entirely. The reason we have so many people incarcerated is because so many of us want to try to control other people’s social behavior. The War on Drugs and many other perceived social ills has overburdened the system. We are now paying the price with high recidivism rates and a complete inability to reintegrate people back into society once we have deemed them an unperson.

Who decides illegal acts?

April 17th, 2008 by dave trevfont No Comments

I’ve noticed a pattern when talking to people that they want blood, so to speak, when it comes to crimes. Some people relish being part of the court of public opinion for the “crime of the day” as the media tells them, and want to throw the book at someone based solely on what the media tells them (to hell with the facts). And then there are those that go as far as saying that some people take free speech too far, and therefore should be limited in their speech (but not them, of course). When I hear people talk this way, I always think “shoe, meet other foot”. Do these people even stop to think how THEY would like to be treated if in a situation where, either by misfortune, a poor decision, or a corrupt public official, they are fighting for their innocence?

When you get past the cries for “justice”, you can get to the heart of the matter. How is it OK to want it to be illegal to say something or do something that you disagree with, and yet be outraged if the opposite were illegal? Just a minute ago it was OK to condemn people for something you didn’t like, yet when your voice loses the mantle of power and the people you went after are now coming after you, we hear you screaming for due process? HYPOCRITE - DESTROYER OF SPIRIT.

Hypocrisy runs so deep in most people that it’s to the point where it is best to live in the woods, in a cave, anywhere but around people. Minding your own business and getting your facts straight is an alien concept.
Take this guy Steven Ceballes at Horticulture West
. The guy should have minded his own damn business, and you can BET he’d be outraged if the same happened to him. You can find the company contact info (located in Phoenix, AZ) on any yellow pages web site. HOWEVER (and this is important), one should get the facts as much as possible (don’t rely on a media article for 100% truth) before taking actions.

Followup: China Olympics

April 13th, 2008 by Wes 1 Comment

Rise Up For Freedom member Wes Wagner speaks at the Human Rights Torch Relay in Portland, Oregon on April 12th, 2008.

ChinaBy now you have probably heard impassioned pleas by people like Mr. Zimmerman in the Seattle Pi comparing the Beijing 2008 Olympics to the 1936 Berlin games. He calls for a boycott, like so many have, citing past precedent of the politicization of the games as a justification - and all other forms of rhetorical tomfoolery. However, he misses the point completely. The very reason China does and can commit all the atrocities that we take umbrage against is the very reason why no boycott could possibly occur.

There are plenty of blogs that expose the various allegations and abuses, some speculative, others certain, and a range in between. Whether it is accusations of organ harvesting of Falun Gong practitioners, Chinese government support of Sudan, and a CFR report indicating that media restrictions will be heavy handed. It would be a relatively simple matter to fill an entire website with issues surrounding the treatment of Tibet.

Some people levy blame on everything from the World Bank, free trade organizations, and numerous other parties for facilitating and supporting China in these atrocities. In reality, the blame for this, like with most things, resides much closer to home. One major aspect of free trade is that of choice. We have a choice of who to trade with, and with that choice, comes whatever responsibility you are willing to take upon yourself. When you trade with another person, you are supporting that individual, which, by extension, means that you support any methods or processes that person uses to create the goods and services you are buying.

Rule by the Kleptocracy

April 11th, 2008 by Karl No Comments

Buk WusKleptocracy, Tapeworm Economy, Government created hierarchy of winners and losers, Corporate State - these are a few of the many names people give to The System of Government into which we have been born and in which we find ourselves. Each of these names emphasizes a particular aspect of what is wrong, of what we, as adherents of personal choice and personal liberty, want to change by inventing our own futures.

Ron Paul comments almost daily on some aspect. It’s up to us to listen, to see and understand, and to spread the word. The System is not going to do it for us.

I was struck by this article in today’s New York Times.
